Le Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil Faure Gnassingb\u00e9 est \u00e0 Lagos au Nig\u00e9ria o\u00f9 il prend part ce 28 mai 2025, \u00e0 la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration des 50 ans d\u2019existence de la Communaut\u00e9 \u00e9conomique des \u00c9tats de l\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest (CEDEAO).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Membre fondateur de cette organisation sous-r\u00e9gionale, le Togo se joint avec fiert\u00e9 aux c\u00e9l\u00e9brations de ce cinquantenaire historique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon une note de la Pr\u00e9sidence du Conseil, ce d\u00e9placement de Faure Gnassingb\u00e9 est l\u2019expression de l\u2019attachement du pays aux id\u00e9aux de coop\u00e9ration et de solidarit\u00e9 qui fondent cette communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les festivit\u00e9s \u00e0 Lagos sont marqu\u00e9es par une r\u00e9actualisation symbolique de la signature du Trait\u00e9 de la CEDEAO, une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie officielle au Eko Hotel and Suites, et une table ronde de haut niveau r\u00e9unissant d\u2019anciens dirigeants et partenaires strat\u00e9giques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il faut souligner que depuis 1975, la CEDEAO incarne l\u2019ambition d\u2019une Afrique de l\u2019Ouest solidaire, prosp\u00e8re et pacifique. Cinquante ans d\u2019engagement commun pour l\u2019int\u00e9gration r\u00e9gionale, la stabilit\u00e9 politique, le d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique et le bien-\u00eatre des populations ouest-africaines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019histoire retient que c’est bien gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la d\u00e9termination des Pr\u00e9sidents d\u2019alors le Nig\u00e9rian Yakubu Gowon et le Togolais Gnassingb\u00e9 Eyadema que ces \u00c9tats signent \u00ab le Trait\u00e9 de Lagos \u00bb le 28 mai 1975.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
