La <\/strong>nouvelle strat\u00e9gie du Togo pour le Sahel sur la p\u00e9riode 2026-2028 \u00e9tait au centre d\u2019une r\u00e9union de haut niveau tenue ce 18 avril 2026 \u00e0 Lom\u00e9 sous le haut patronage du Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil Faure GNASSINGBE.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette Nouvelle Strat\u00e9gie s\u2019inscrit dans la continuit\u00e9 de l\u2019engagement du Togo au Sahel et vient se substituer \u00e0 l\u2019ancienne Strat\u00e9gie de 2021, qui a servi de cadre \u00e0 l\u2019action du pays au Sahel durant les quatre (4) derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La nouvelle strat\u00e9gie vise \u00e0 rapprocher les positions, renforcer le dialogue politique entre les \u00c9tats et consolider la paix dans le Sahel et l\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest face \u00e0 une menace terroriste et l\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La nouvelle strat\u00e9gie du Togo pour le Sahel repose sur 5 piliers, \u00e0 savoir : le dialogue politique entre le Togo et l\u2019AES, la lutte contre le terrorisme, l\u2019int\u00e9gration des peuples, la croissance \u00e9conomique entre le Togo et les pays de l\u2019AES, l\u2019\u00e9ducation, la formation et le partage des ressources dans l\u2019espace AES et le Togo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Le Togo a pris parti pour la paix au Sahel et a consolid\u00e9 ses relations avec les pays fr\u00e8res de la r\u00e9gion (\u2026) ; la force du Togo r\u00e9side dans sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 b\u00e2tir des ponts sans se laisser enfermer dans des d\u00e9pendances. En nous rapprochant des \u00c9tats de l\u2019AES, nous affirmons notre volont\u00e9 de maintenir une coop\u00e9ration pragmatique face aux menaces communes \u00bb, a indiqu\u00e9 le Ministre togolais des affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res, Pr Robert Dussey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette r\u00e9union de haut niveau de Lom\u00e9 a servi de cadre pour non seulement pr\u00e9senter la nouvelle strat\u00e9gie, mais \u00e9galement renforcer le dialogue politique entre le Togo et les \u00c9tats du Sahel, offrir un espace d\u2019\u00e9changes et de dialogue entre gouvernements, organisations r\u00e9gionales\/internationales, envoy\u00e9s sp\u00e9ciaux de la r\u00e9gion du Sahel et acteurs de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile sur les \u00e9volutions du contexte r\u00e9gional, les d\u00e9fis communs et les solutions \u00e0 envisager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
