Le Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil de la R\u00e9publique Togolaise, Faure Gnassingb\u00e9 a pris part ce 4 d\u00e9cembre 2025 \u00e0 Washington aux USA, \u00e0 la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie officielle de signature de l\u2019accord de paix entre la R\u00e9publique D\u00e9mocratique du Congo (RDC) et le Rwanda.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette pr\u00e9sence \u00e0 l’invitation du Pr\u00e9sident am\u00e9ricain Donald Trump s’inscrit dans le cadre de la mission de m\u00e9diation r\u00e9gionale que l’Union africaine lui a confi\u00e9e pour favoriser une solution africaine durable aux tensions dans l’Est de la RDC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cet accord a \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9 par F\u00e9lix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, Pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique D\u00e9mocratique du Congo et Paul Kagam\u00e9, Pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique du Rwanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour Lom\u00e9, cette initiative de haut niveau marque une \u00e9tape d\u00e9cisive dans les efforts de stabilisation de la r\u00e9gion des Grands Lacs, de consolidation de la confiance mutuelle et de cr\u00e9ation d’un environnement propice au d\u00e9veloppement et \u00e0 l’investissement dans les secteurs strat\u00e9giques essentiels aux cha\u00eenes de valeur mondiales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En effet, depuis plusieurs mois, Faure Gnassingb\u00e9 m\u00e8ne des consultations diplomatiques actives avec les parties prenantes r\u00e9gionales et internationales, en \u00e9troite coordination avec l’Union africaine, afin de promouvoir un dialogue constructif et une responsabilit\u00e9 partag\u00e9e dans la recherche de la paix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il a conduit dans ce cadre, des \u00e9changes soutenus avec des partenaires tels que les \u00c9tats-Unis d’Am\u00e9rique, la France et le Qatar, visant \u00e0 mobiliser un appui coh\u00e9rent aux efforts africains de pacification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ainsi, la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de Washington marque non seulement un moment symbolique dans le processus de d\u00e9sescalade entre la RDC et le Rwanda, mais \u00e9galement une reconnaissance de l’importance d’une m\u00e9diation africaine port\u00e9e par un leadership r\u00e9gional engag\u00e9, capable de f\u00e9d\u00e9rer les acteurs et de renforcer la solidarit\u00e9 entre \u00c9tats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans cette dynamique en faveur de la paix, les \u00c9tats-Unis d’Am\u00e9rique ont apport\u00e9 leur appui \u00e0 toutes les missions diplomatiques dont celle de l’Union africaine visant \u00e0 favoriser une d\u00e9sescalade de la situation dans l’Est de la R\u00e9publique D\u00e9mocratique du Congo (RDC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
