Le Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil du Togo Faure Gnassingb\u00e9 r\u00e9affirme la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019une coop\u00e9ration ax\u00e9e sur une paix et une stabilit\u00e9 durable entre l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne et l\u2019Union africaine. C\u2019est \u00e0 l\u2019occasion du 7\u00e8 Sommet Afrique-Europe tenu les 24 et 25 novembre 2025 \u00e0 Luanda dans la capitale angolaise sur le th\u00e8me\u00a0: \u00ab Promouvoir la paix et la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un multilat\u00e9ralisme effectif \u00bb.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au cours de ce sommet qui se tient \u00e0 un moment o\u00f9 le monde est en qu\u00eate de strat\u00e9gies pour relever les d\u00e9fis s\u00e9curitaires et \u00e9conomiques majeurs, Faure Gnassingb\u00e9 a rappel\u00e9 les enjeux d\u2019une collaboration plus \u00e9troite entre l\u2019Afrique et l\u2019Europe afin de co-construire une paix durable sur le continent et dans le monde. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Dans un monde marqu\u00e9 par la d\u00e9fiance et la fragmentation, la paix est redevenue un enjeu global, elle n\u2019est plus un acquis mais un combat quotidien et ce combat, l\u2019Afrique et l\u2019Europe doivent le mener ensemble. La s\u00e9curit\u00e9 africaine et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 europ\u00e9enne sont indissociables \u00bb, a estim\u00e9 le Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour orienter de mani\u00e8re coh\u00e9rente ce nouveau paradigme de partenariat UE-UA, le Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil a structur\u00e9 son intervention autour de trois axes principaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il a d\u2019abord insist\u00e9 sur la paix et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 en tant que bien public mondial, dont l\u2019Afrique assume la responsabilit\u00e9 premi\u00e8re. Il a ensuite appel\u00e9 \u00e0 la r\u00e9novation du multilat\u00e9ralisme, afin de b\u00e2tir un ordre mondial plus juste et repr\u00e9sentatif. Enfin, il a soulign\u00e9 l\u2019importance de construire une architecture de paix commune entre l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne et l\u2019Union africaine, fond\u00e9e sur la coop\u00e9ration, la confiance mutuelle et la r\u00e9silience des populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faure Gnassingb\u00e9 a pour conclure, invit\u00e9 les dirigeants africains et europ\u00e9ens \u00e0 affirmer une ambition simple : celle d\u2019une Afrique et d\u2019une Europe solidaires, qui privil\u00e9gient la coop\u00e9ration plut\u00f4t que la comp\u00e9tition, la confiance plut\u00f4t que la peur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Une Afrique souveraine et stable r\u00e9duit les vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9s europ\u00e9ennes. Une Europe lucide et engag\u00e9e renforce la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et la souverainet\u00e9 africaines \u00bb, a-t-il expliqu\u00e9, rappelant que les int\u00e9r\u00eats des deux continents sont profond\u00e9ment convergents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sanctionn\u00e9s par une D\u00e9claration conjointe de l’Union europ\u00e9enne et de l’Union africaine, destin\u00e9e \u00e0 tracer les prochaines \u00e9tapes d’un partenariat renouvel\u00e9, plus \u00e9quilibr\u00e9 et plus efficace au service de la paix, de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 partag\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
